The Seahorse Sanctuary is an exciting new tourist attraction located in the scenic seaside town of Kalbarri on the midwest coast of Western Australia. Kalbarri is situated at the mouth of the mighty Murchison River and surrounded by the Kalbarri National Park that boasts magnificent coastal and river gorges, an abundance of brilliant wildflowers in season and unique wildlife.

The Seahorse Sanctuary is open to the public 5 days a week (Tuesday - Saturday). 7 days/week during school holidays.

Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Take a self-guided tour of the breeding stable and experience all aspects of seahorse breeding from newborn to adult with “push button” commentary provided. For more information contact the Seahorse Sanctuary or the Kalbarri visitor centre. Kalbarri has a wealth of natural wonders to visit, fabulous restaurants and friendly accommodation which may also be booked through the visitor centre website.

Main breeding stable - concessions apply for seniors, aged & disability pension:

Guided Tours - available for large groups.
